And I almost kept it for myself

Yesterday evening after I closed for the day I delivered Chris’ new evil guitar to him.  It’s funny how similar our tastes are sometimes.  If this guitar had a seventh string I’d have probably given him his deposit back and kept it.  It plays great, sounds great, looks great.  Looking so much like the Ibanez Universe brings back the memories of my first build.  I couldn’t afford to get a Universe ($2,000 at the time was a lot of money) and so I decided I would just build myself a seven string.  It was a very nice guitar, but, as I’ve said is my goal, each one ends up a bit nicer than the last.  This was no exception.  I decided a long time ago though that wanting to change my name and run away with it to Mexico was the sign of a job well done.  I don’t want to keep it for myself than I haven’t done my best work.  Since I don’t get to play as often as I’d sometimes like and owning dozens of guitars might be difficult if I had no house to store them in I’ve concluded that I can’t keep them all, no matter how much I want to.  Congratulations Chris on your new best friend.  Hope you’ll let me visit often.
