What’s your flavor?
Through the use of Clipping Modules you can expand Odelya’s tonal palette to include many variations of the underlying good tone this pedal is built on.
Yellow.
This module showcases fast silicon signal diodes in all three modes. These are similar to what you would find in stock TS series overdrives. The first mode (left) is a symmetrical clipping, yielding a nice compressed tone. The next two tones are asymmetrical clipping sections, the third (right) being the least symmetric. It is the most open tube-like of the three and is also the same circuit as mode one (right) of the white module. It’s also worth noting that the more asymmetrical the circuit the louder the mode in this module. Be sure to adjust the volume when comparing these modes.
Modules starting at $17
White.
The stock module, this set of modes is the most common configuration in boutique overdrives today. The first mode (left) showcases an asymmetrical fast silicon signal diode grouping giving you a more tube-like and open variation of the classic overdrive tone. This is the same as the yellow’s mode three. The center position (two) is the clean boost mode. It contains no diodes and can also be achieved by running the pedal with no module installed, though that may not be practical if you want to switch modes on the fly. The third mode (right) is the british crunch mode. It uses two LEDs to produce a symmetrical brittle distortion akin to that popular british tone. This mode is shared by mode one of the red module.
Red.
Bridging the gap between overdrive and distortion, this module has a lot of crunch. All three modes utilize LEDs for their tone. The first (left) mode is a brighter drive with bite and a little hair around the edges. The last (right) mode is a smooth warm variation with a softer attack. Both of these modes are symmetrical and a bit compressed. The middle position is a blend between the two, smooth and round with just enough grit. The best of both worlds. The first mode is also mode three of the white module.
Only $175.
Odelya comes with a white module. This can be substituted for any other standard module (except green) for no additional cost. Just request which module you’d prefer in the “Special Instructions” box.
Blue.
MOSFET clipping has been popular for its tube-like tones. Mode one (left) of the blue module carries a symmetrical MOSFET clipping section. The second mode (center) mixes a silicon power diode with a MOSFET. With the switch in mode three Odelya sounds similar to a class-A 70’s guitar tone. Good clean dirt.
Green.
The green module is one of my favorites because it has three of the most unique tones I’ve heard from Odelya. Each mode mixes germanium diodes with other components to produce tones with some fuzz undercurrent. The germaniums require a different voltage threshold so when you limit the input signal by turning the volume down on the guitar or varying attack dynamics the germanium diodes cut off. It gives you that broken nasty fuzz while simultaneously producing natural warm overdrive.

Custom Modules.
In the spirit of individualism, custom modules are also available. You can choose any three clipping modes available in any of the other modules, or even request your own special recipe. Custom modules are black and run $27. The purchase of a custom modules are non-refundable. Be sure to indicate what modes you want in the “Special Instructions” field at checkout.
