At the beginning of 2009 I began working on an overdrive pedal design that was both extremely compact and incredibly powerful.  I wanted to build a boutique pedal that would serve my purposes for years to come and be able to adapt to my changing style and taste as I grew as a musician.  Nine months later (how ironic) Odelya is born.  While she’s inspired by classic overdrive tones, she’s the most advanced OD pedal I’ve seen yet.

It’s like pouring a bucket of overdrive into an Altoids tin.

Built for heavy footfall.

Odelya is designed to avoid the ailments many pedals suffer due to profit maximizing.  The pots and switches are not just mounted to the board, but also to the chassis.  Chassis mount components relieve stress to solder joints.  Connections of wires to the board are protected through a built-in strain relief PCB design.  Also, all components are installed by hand to hold tight prior to hand soldering.  The PC board itself is of the highest quality with pads through each hole, not just on the surface.  I’m so confident in the longevity of this pedal that it comes with a five year warranty.

Noise?  What noise?

Ever play though a great sounding piece of gear that has almost as much noise as it does tone?  Not a problem for Odelya.  Her beauty is not skin deep; she loaded with great sounding audiophile components.  With the best Panasonic stacked metal film capacitors, a high-end silver mica cap (no harsh ceramics), and 1% metal film resistors, Odelya is one of the quietest pedals we’ve heard.  But she doesn’t suffer from sterility either.  Select carbon comp resistors have been used in the signal chain to add that warm, dirty, vintage feel.  Oh, and it’s true bypass.

Don’t forget the modules!
